About The 4 Kids Dad

Hi — I’m the parent behind The 4 Kids Dad, and yes, that title is literal: four kids, including newborn twins. This site started as a way to work through the same research every new or growing family ends up doing — comparing baby gear, sorting real trade-offs from marketing copy, and figuring out what’s actually worth the money.

Some posts here come from direct, hands-on experience with a product in our own house. Others are deep-dive research pieces, where I go through manufacturer manuals, spec sheets, and buyer feedback to compare options I haven’t personally used. Every post is labeled honestly as one or the other — we don’t blur the two.

How We Write

We try to avoid the two most common failures in baby-gear content: vague marketing language with no real substance, and confident-sounding claims with no evidence behind them. When we cite a number, we tell you where it came from. When we’re not sure, we say so.
